We welcome all those interested in joining our family of faith in the Catholic Church. We as a Church desire to walk with you to answer your questions and to help you discern God’s next step for your life. Whether you were baptized as a child, stepped away from the Church, or simply seek deeper truth and purpose, know that St. Anastasia is here to journey with you.
If our conversations lead you to wanting to become Catholic, St. Anastasia offers a process of prayer, study, and discernment. This process is called the Order of Initiation for Christian Adults, or OCIA. The OCIA process culminates with initiation into the Catholic Church and the reception of the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and the Eucharist. This process is open to children, teens, and adults.
We hope that your experience echoes the words of the disciples on the road to Emmaus: "Were not our hearts burning within us while he spoke to us on the way and opened the scriptures to us?” (Luke 24:32)
For children ages 8-13, please refer to our First Holy Communion page. For children 14-18, please refer to our Confirmation page. For adults 18+, OCIA sessions will take place every Tuesday 6-8 pm or Friday 10am-12pm in the SE Room of the Parish Center. We will begin a new OCIA process Tuesday, September 16th and Friday, September 19th.
