MISSION STATEMENT To provide support, planning, and education to Saint Anastasia Catholic Church families as they review their end of life arrangements.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Core Ministers are trained to respond to grieving families appropriately. Core Ministers assist Priests with the immediate care to families when a family calls the church to inform us of a member's passing. Core Ministers are prepared through a 12 week study. Training is under the advisement of Father George and Sister Mary Joan Millecan, OSF, Pastoral Minister, St. Mark's Church in Boynton Beach. Trainings are offered once a year. Once prepared, ministers are commissioned to go to the homes to provide comfort to the families and to assist clergy
COMMUNICATION Our main communications focus is to act on behalf of the Saint Anastasia community to contact families on short notice who are experiencing or have experience the loss of a loved one. This is accomplished through phone calls, hand-written cards, and organizing food drop offs.
